According to NSC of Kazakhstan, the sum of net pension assets at the beginning of May - $553.9 mln

/IRBIS, May 17, 00/ - According to the National Securities Commission of Kazakhstan (NSC) the sum of Net Pension Assets (PA) in the republic (the sum of pension assets minus charged compensations and pension payments debts) on May 01, 2000 has made KZT78,658.9 mln or $553.9 mln at the current average weighted market rate. A comparable parameter on April 01, 2000 was KZT74,931.9 mln or $527.9 mln. For one month the assets of Accumulate Pension Funds (APF) have grown by 5.0% in national currency and by 4.9% - in dollars. The growth rates in March were 6.4% and 5.4% respectively. By the beginning of May PA has amounted to KZT78,764.5 mln, of which KZT77,547.4 mln have been invested. In total seven Pension Assets Management Companies, 15 Private (PAPF) and one State Accumulate Pension Funds (SAPF) are working in the country. Amount of PAMC and Funds for one month have been not changed. The SAPF assets share has decreased for one month from 48.6 to 47.4%. The largest PAPFs at the end of April are: CJSC "APF of the Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan" (17.6% of all assets) and CJSC "ONPF Ular" (7.18%). The leaders are still the same. PAMC of the Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan is leading by the volume of managed assets among Private APF (17.7% of all PA), PAMC "ZHETYSU" is second in the list (11.1%). A disposition has been not changed. CJSC "APF "Korgau " had in April the greatest assets growth rates (29.1% in tenge and 28.4% in dollars). The company takes first place for already four month. The least growth rate, as well as last month, is characteristic for State APF. The last month disposition was the same. The invested assets have been distributed on the financial tools as follows (in brackets - appropriate parameters on April 1, 2000): - Internal SS of the Ministry of finance (KZT) - 4.01% (1.84%); - Internal SS of the Ministry of finance (USD) - 47.17% (50.06%); - Eurobonds of the sovereign debt of Kazakhstan (USD) - 42.27% (42.55%); - Notes of the national Bank (KZT) - 0.40% (0.33%); - Bonds of the local executive bodies of Kazakhstan (USD) - 0.54% (0.48%); - Private Securities (KZT) - 0.73% (0.53%); - Private Securities (foreign exchanges) - 3.30% (2.73%); - Deposits and deposit certificates (KZT) - 0.29% (0.19%); - Deposits and deposit certificates (foreign exchanges) - 1.28% (1.23%).
