Kazakhstani railroads may issue $100-150 mln eurobonds

/IRBIS, May 16, 00/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to the head of
republican state enterprise "Kazakhstan temir joly" (Railroads), that
Kazakhstani railroads may borrow $100-150 mln on international capital
markets, though the terms are not clear yet.
Ablai Myrzakhmetov said they have formed a special department and that
they would easily get into markets with $100-150 mln eurobonds.
He says that on June 10 of current year the auditing of Ernst & Young will
end and that the company had no credit ratings yet.
The head of the company said the timing of the eurobonds would depend on
the decision of the Ministry of finance of Kazakhstan. Now the ministry is
still considering proposed issue, he added.
Also, Halyk bank, Kazkommertsbank and national oil company Kazakhoil
have expressed their intentions to issue eurobonds this year.
