According to SSC of Kazakhstan, the sum of net pension assets at the beginning of April - $527.9 million

/IRBIS, April 12, 00/ - According to the National Securities Commission of
Kazakhstan (SSC) the sum of Net Pension Assets (PA) in republic (the sum
of pension assets minus charged compensations and pension payments
debts) on April 01, 2000 has made 74,931.9 million tenges or $527/9 million
at the current average weighted market rate. A comparable parameter on
March 01, 2000 was 70,446.2 million tenges or $500.7 million.
For one month the assets of Accumulate Pension Funds (APF) have grown
by 6.4% in tenges and by 5.4% - in dollars. The growth rates in February
were 4.2% in tenges and 3.2% - in dollars.
By the beginning of March PA has amounted to 75,136.5 million tenges, from
them 74,925.9 millions have been invested.
In total seven Pension Assets Management Companies, 15 Private (PAPF)
and one State Accumulate Pension Funds (SAPF) are working in the
country. Amount of PAMC and Funds for one month have been not changed.
The SAPF assets share has decreased for one month from 50.1 to 48.6%.
The largest PAPFs at the end of March are: Closed JSC "APF of the Halyk
Savings Bank of Kazakhstan" (17.2% of all assets) and Closed JSC "ONPF
Ular" (6.9%). The leaders are still the same.
PAMC of the Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan is leading by the volume of
managed assets among Private APF (18.4% of all PA), PAMC "ZHETYSU"
is second in the list (11.5%). A disposition has been not changed.
Closed JSC "APF "Korgau " had in March the greatest assets growth rate
(207.0% in tenge and 204.3% in dollars). The company takes first place for
alredy three month. The least growth rate, as well as last month, is
characteristic for State APF.
The invested assets have been distributed on the financial tools as follows
(in brackets - appropriate parameters on March 1, 2000):
- Internal SS of the Ministry of finance (KZT) - 1.84% (3.14%);
- Internal SS of the Ministry of finance (USD) - 50.06% (51.18%);
- Eurobonds of the sovereign debt of Kazakhstan (USD) - 42.55% (39.20%);
- Notes of the national Bank (KZT) - 0.33% (1.02%);
- Bonds of the local executive bodies of Kazakhstan (USD) - 0.54% (0.48%);
- Private Securities (KZT) - 0.53% (0.33%);
- Private Securities (foreign exchanges) - 2.73% (2.76%);
- Deposits and deposit certificates (KZT) - 0.19% (1.08%);
- Deposits and deposit certificates (foreign exchanges) - 1.23% (0.81%).
