National Bank of Kazakhstan has 16 Primary agents for notes

/IRBIS, Dec.13, 99/ - CJSC "Central depository of securities" informs the list the National bank's Primary agents working on state securities market consists of 16 legal entities: OJSC "Kazkommertsbank", OJSC "Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan", CJSC "ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan", OJSC "Temirbank", OJSC "Bank CenterCredit", CJSC "KZI-Bank", OJSC "TexaKaBank", JSC ATFB, OJSC "Bank TuranAlem", CJSC "Citibank Kazakhstan", CJSC "Evraziiskii", AB "Alfa-bank", CJSC "Eximbank", JSCOT JV "Lariba-bank", JSCOT "Tsesnabank" (Astana), OJSC "DB SECURITIES (KAZAKHSTAN)". Headquarters of these companies, except JSCOT "Tsesnabank", are in financial capital of Kazakhstan Almaty. By Kazakhstani norms, securities of the National Bank - notes - can be purchased by investors at auctions only through Primary dealers who maintain their own accounts of their clients. It should be noted investors also have to work in country's secondary market with notes of the National Bank through Primary dealers also. A legal entity, who is a member of KASE in category "K" (right to participate trades in SS), can make a deal in notes at the Exchange bypassing a Primary dealer only if it has corresponding authorization from him and further confirmation of the deal by the Primary agent.
