Eurasian Bank (Kazakhstan) signs cooperation memorandum with entrepreneurship development fund Damu

/KASE, May 20, 13/ – JSC "Eurasian Bank" (Almaty), whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press-release of May 20, 2013: quote Michael Eggleton, CEO of Eurasian Bank, and Lyazzat Ibragimova, CEO of entrepreneurship development fund "Damu" today signed a cooperation memorandum on support of small and medium-sized businesses. According to the document, the fund and financial institution will broaden the cooperation field under the fund's programs. At Damu they believe that the cooperation with the bank is a good example of state-private partnership. "Subsidizing with Damu is advantageous since it allows entrepreneurs to obtain loans at mere 7%a year and lower", – says Lyazzat Ibragimova, CEO of "Damu". – "We welcome initiatives of second-tier banks taking part in implementation of our programs. For instance, in 2013 in association with Eurasian Bank we funded modernization of a taxi fleet in Zhambyl region. Transportation company Voyage received a preferential loan.
