/KASE, January 9, 13/ - LLP "Almatyenergosbyt" (Almaty), whose bonds are officially listed at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following communique: quote Due to changing prices on the electricity market LLP "Almatyenergosbyt" announces an increase in the electricity rate from January 10, 2013 in Almaty and Almaty region. The economically justified electricity rate for Almaty and Almaty region consumers will make up KZT13.56 per kWh without VAT (KZT15.19 per kWh including 12% VAT). The rate increase in the operation area of Almatyenergosbyt is to 5.9% related to the rise of the selling price on the country's power stations following resolution # 392 of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Approval of Maximum Tariffs", as well as due to an increase in the price of services involving transmission and distribution of electricity via regional and inter-regional power lines. Therefore, tariff rates for households, differentiated depending upon volumes of electricity consumption, are as follows (including VAT - 12%): - first level tariff - KZT13.45 per kWh; - second level tariff - KZT18.23 per kWh; - third level tariff - KZT22.79 per kWh.
