/Almaty office of REUTERS, Sep.10, 99/ - The company "Aluminii Kazakhstana" produced 665.7 thousand tons of alumina in seven months of current year, which exceeds that of similar period of last year, informed Reuters assistant for the general director Leonid Belogrivyi. "Increase in production volumes is due to introduction of new technologies and improving of equipment", said Belogrivyi. Volume of bauxite production at company mines has made more than 2 million tons, which exceeds the figure for the last year by 7.1 percent, he added. Volume of mining work has made 14.4 million cubic meters - by 20.3 percent more than that of similar period of 1998. Investments in fixed assets of "Aluminii Kazakhstana", made from owners' equity, amounted to 417 million tenge, informed Belogrivyi. "Aluminii Kazakhstana", which is in the north of the country, is a member of group of companies of Eurasian bank. Major consumer for "Aluminii Kazakhstana" products are Siberian aluminum plants in Russia.
