Kazakhtelecom (Kazakhstan) implements the plan within the Memorandum of Cooperation with company Kaztsentrelektroprovod

/KASE, April 10, 09/ - Kazakhtelecom (Astana), the listed company of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), informed KASE that Kazakhtelecom procured products of Kaztsentrelektroprovod within the Memorandum of Cooperation. We remind that on March 11, 2009 Kazakhtelecom signed an agreement with Kaztsentrelektroprovod on procurement of goods. Kaztsentrelektroprovod is one of the providers of products for Karaganda regional telecommunications directorate (RTD) and the provider of a fiber optical cable previously procured outside of the country. - Due to the absence of a producer in the country we had to procure a fiber optical cable in foreign countries. Having developed this product, Kaztsentrelektroprovod contributes to the regional telecommunications modernization process - emphasized Karaganda RTD Director Igor Lyalin. Kaztsentrelektroprovod Director General Sergei Kim said that due to joint efforts the plant is introducing new products and technologies. Such partnership is the strategic one. One of the objectives implemented by Kazakhtelecom is the support of domestic producers based on the tenders on procurement of goods and services ensuring the open competition principles. Within implementation of the Program on the increase of produced in Kazakhstan goods and services and based on the task of NWF Samruk-Kazyna at the meeting in January 2009 Kazakhtelecom signed this year the Memorandum of Cooperation. In total Kazakhtelecom group of companies (subsidiaries and affiliates) as of the beginning of April 2009 concluded 62 Memorandums of Cooperation with domestic providers of goods and services. According to Memorandums data with 32 providers were concluded 113 agreements.
