Sberbank of the Russian federation does not negotiate on the purchase of BTA Bank JSC

/REUTERS, Moscow, March 31, 09/ - Sberbank of Russia received the offer on purchase of the BTA-bank in Kazakhstan at the begging of February. At the present time, Sberbank does not negotiate on the bargain said the minister of finance of the Kazakhstan Bolat Zhamishev to Reuters. "There is no active negotiation at the moment. We are not talking about the thing that Sberbank will become the shareholder in nearest time" - said Zhamishev. In February, the Reuters has informed that Sberbank intends to purchase up to 100 % of the BTA-bank shares. The authorities of Kazakhstan on behalf of the Fund Samruk-Kazyna nationalized the bank, purchasing 78.14 % of the BTA-bank shares. Sberbank has already fully owned subsidiary in Kazakhstan.
