Moody's placed KTZH rating on the review with possibility of downgrading

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Almaty, January 21, 09/ - Moody's Investors
Service placed rating of A3 issuer of national railway company Kazakhstan
Temir Zholy (KTZH) with possibility of downgrading on the review, the rating
agency's message says.
Moreover, rating of A3 issuer was placed on the review on unsecured
Eurobonds with premium claim of $800 m., issued by financial company
Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Finance B.V. and guaranteed by KTZH and its
subsidiaries.
The review reflects risks of deteriorating of economic and financial situations
in the country, what may affect KTZH activity and ability to finance its current
programs.
At the same time, Moody's notes that KTZH plays strategic part in
Kazakhstan economy and enjoys government's support.
