Aktobe oblast, Bozoy settlement, Republic of Kazakhstan, August 18,
2008 - Tethys Petroleum Limited (Tethys or the Company (TSX:TPL))
informed that as a result of tests on exploration well AKK15 on
Akkulovskaya area, located in Kazakhstan, outflow of gas with good
characteristics from interval of productive layer Tasaran was observed.
Overview:
- At AKK15 gas went from the recently disclosed interval of production
layer Tasaran at 201 th. cubic meters per day limited volume NKT.
- Technical analysis provides that potential gas output volume may total
480 th. cubic meters through NKT of larger volume.
- AKK15 is located at the structure, separated from the recently
disclosed Tasaran gas deposit AKK14, and is distinguished for its gas
potential, natural for such sandstones in the region.
