TURANALEM SECURITIES PLANS TO ACCOMPLISH THE COLLECTION OF BIDS ON PURCHASE OF SHARES OF KAZAKHMYS PLC THROUGH THE TRADE SYSTEM OF KASE

/KASE, November 13, 06/ - Daughter organization of the joint company Bank TuranAlem TuranAlem Securities JSC (Almaty, above and hereinafter - TuranAlem Securities), which is the financial consultant of KAZAKHMYS PLС (London, the Kingdom of Great Britain) on bringing its common shares (ISIN - GB00B0HZPV38) to the organized market of Kazakhstan, has submitted today the bid to Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), in which it appeals to KASE to organize the collection of bids from investors on purchase of the above-mentioned shares through the trade system of KASE. The collection of bids is planned to organize by the method of subscription from November 14 to November 16 2006. Details of this subscription will be given later. On November 10 KASE with reference to the official notification of TuranAlem Securities informed that it is planned 1.0% out of the offered number of shares of KAZAKHMYS PLС to put in sale on the organized market, all assets of which are in Kazakhstan. It was informed earlier that GB00B0HZPV38 common shares of KAZAKHMYS PLС had passed the listing procedure on KASE under "A" category under the code GB_KZMS, however, the corresponding decision of the Exchange Council has not taken effect yet. The issuer has not accounted to KASE the listing fee, and the contract to make between KASE and KAZAKHMYS PLС is at the stage of signing. [2006-11-13]
