Basile Enterprises had finished the first stage of syndication of the credit for $751 m.

/INTERFAX-KAZAKGSTAN, Moscow, November 13, 06/ - Basile Enterprises,
belonging to the head of Kazakhmys Plc (copper corporation Kazakhmys)
Vladimir Kim, had finished the senior stage of syndication of the
three-years credit for $751 m. with the expected yield LIBOR plus 150
basis points, informs the agency Thomson Financial.
At the present moment it is passing the general syndication of the credit,
as organizers of which are acting ABN Amro, Credit Suisse, JPMorgan, Natexis
Banques Populaires.
Credit will be used for financing of purchasing for $751 m. of 25% of shares
of Eurasian industrial association (EIA, ENRC Kazakhstan Holding BV), to
which are belonging several raw materials' assets in Kazakhstan. In the
spring of year 2006 V.Kim received the option for these shares.
"This credit will be directed on realization of those plans, about which it
was announced in the spring of this year", - informed earlier to the agency
Interfax-Kazakhstan in the press-service of Kazakhmys Plc with reference to
the words of V.Kim.
EIA controls the producer of alumina Aluminum of Kazakhstan, corporation
Kazchrome, Sokolovsko-Sarbayskoye ore mining producing union JSC, Euro-
Asian energy corporation JSC, coal cut Shubarkol Komir JSC, coal extracting
Mugoteks JSC and Zhayremskiy OMPC.
Corporation Kazakhmys is specializing on the production of purified copper
and copper raw materials and joining, in particular, Dzheskazganskiy brass
works (former, Dzhezkazgantsvetmet JSC), Balkhashskiy mining and
smelting combine, Zheskentskiy OMPC and East-Kazakhstan copper-
chemical combine.
