Production exploitation of oil pipeline Severniye Buzachi was started - Karazhanbas by extension of 25 km. - KazTransOil

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, July 20, 06/ - Oil transport state company of Kazakhstan KazTranOil JSC (in consistence of oil-gas company KazMunayGas) started production exploitation of oil pipeline Severniye Buzachi - Karazhanbas. "Production exploitation of oil pipeline Severniye Buzachi - Karazhanbas was started," - informed Interfax-Kazakhstan in press service of KazTransOil. It was specified in press service that oil pipeline's construction ending, putting in operation and filling in technological oil would take place in May of the current year. "Actualizing of this project will provide oil transfer directly from oil field Severniye Buzachi in system of main pipelines of KazTranOil JSC. In all, oil pipeline starting will allow to increase volume of oil mining in the field Severniye Buzachi and to enlarge common volumes of transfer by pipe-lines of KazTransOil JSC," - stressed in the press service. In the current year transfer by this pipeline is planned in size of 1100 th. tones, up to year 2011 oil transfer volumes will reach, as it is expected, about 3500 th. tones a year. By data of the press service, extension of the pipeline equals to 25.125 km, pipe' diameter - 426х6 mm, carrying capacity - 3500 th. tones of oil a year. Project of oil pipeline's construction Severniye Buzachi - Karazhanbas was included in investing program of KazMunayGas JSC, financing was accomplished from funds of KazTransOil JSC with the right of 100% owning of this pipeline. Oil field Severniye Buzachi (in Mangistau region of Kazakhstan) is being designed by the company Buzachi Operating Ltd., which belongs to Chinese CNPC and "daughter" of Russian Lucoil OJSC Lucoil Oversees on equal footing currently. The company KazTransOil exploits main pipelines of the republic by extension of 5842.8 km., water lines by extension of 2145.2 km. Total volume of storage plant is 1306.4 th. cubic meters, out of them on oil - 1154 th. cubic meters. KazTransOil is a subject of natural monopoly at service market on pipeline oil transfer. Volume of oil transfer by system of KazTransOil in yeaar 2005 made 38 m., compared to 197 th. tones against 38 m. 390 th. tones in year 2004.
