Trading in shares in April took place exclusively on the secondary market. The average daily trading volume was 976.5 mln tenge, the average daily number of transactions was 5,866, the average volume of one transaction was 166.5 thousand tenge. The volume of transactions with index shares in April amounted to 11.9 bn tenge, which is 603.5 mln tenge higher than in March. In second place in terms of growth rates for the month of April are the common shares of Bank CenterCredit JSC, which increased in price 4.2 %. At the same time, the bank's shareholders at the annual general meeting decided to approve the audited annual statements of the bank for 2023 and not to pay dividends on the bank's common shares for the 2023 financial year, and leave the net income for 2023 in the amount of 135.2 bn tenge in the undistributed account arrived. The top three are closed by common shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC with an increase of 2.5 %. The bank announced an early full return in the amount of 250 bn tenge of state support received by Kazkommertsbank in the form of a deposit of Kazakhstan Sustainability Fund JSC. In addition, the bank announced the sale of 100 % of the shares of Halyk Bank Kyrgyzstan OJSC. On April 25, 2024, the bank's shareholders at the annual general meeting decided to pay dividends on common shares based on the results of the bank's activities for 2023 in the amount of 25.43 tenge per common share for a total amount of 277.7 bn tenge. Shares of KEGOC JSC increased slightly by 0.5 % in April 2024. Common shares of KazTransOil JSC added 0.5 % in price. In the first quarter of 2024, the company transited 2.5 mln tons of Russian oil to the People's Republic of China and 75 thousand tons to the Republic of Uzbekistan. Also in the first quarter, the volume of transportation of Kazakh oil through the trunk oil pipeline system of Transneft PJSC towards Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for further delivery to Germany amounted to 300 thousand tons, exceeding the figure for the same period last year by 260 thousand tons. According to the company's production results for the first quarter of 2024, the company transported 11.4 mln tons of oil separately through the main oil pipeline system, exceeding the figure for the same period last year by 1.0 mln tons. At the same time, the Board of Directors of the company recommended the annual general meeting of shareholders to pay dividends in the amount of 65 tenge per common share for a total amount of 25.0 bn tenge. Based on results of April, the telecommunications sector was in the red zone. Common shares of JSC Kazakhtelecom lost 0.8 % in price, and common shares of Kcell JSC - 4.4 %. According to the consolidated financial statements of Kazakhtelecom JSC for 2023, the company's income increased in 2023 by 53.3 bn tenge to 687.8 bn tenge due to growth in income in the fixed and mobile communications segments. At the same time, the company's net profit for 2023 amounted to 104.4 bn tenge. Shares of the financial sector representative JSC Kaspi.kz decreased by 7.8 %. On April 8, 2024, the annual general meeting of shareholders decided to pay dividends for 2023 in the amount of 850 tenge per common share. According to the financial results of Kaspi.kz JSC for the first quarter of 2024, the company's revenue and net profit increased by 40 % and 28 %, respectively. The worst dynamics were demonstrated by shares of Air Astana JSC, which lost 10.0 % in price. The airline announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Neos SpA, the second Italian airline. The company also announced a program for the repurchase of common shares and global depositary receipts as part of employee bonuses. During the first part of the program, 4,786,800 shares and global depositary receipts will be purchased. According to the company's financial and operating results for the first quarter 2024 revenue and other income increased 13.3 % year-over-year to US$264.7 mln, EBITDAR increased 6.9 % to US$50.0 mln and total passenger numbers increased by 18.5 % compared to the first quarter of last year and amounted to 1.9 mln people.
